From time to time, Grand Avenue brings outside independent consultants to the engagement when the need arises, or the assignment calls for expertise that the consultant possesses. These talented individuals include the following

 

 William Baribault has served as an officer, board member, or advisor to private, public, and private equity owned businesses within vastly different sectors during both growth and recession economic cycles. His professional career experience includes industrial and building products manufacturing, wholesale distribution, retail sales, financial and operations consulting, banking and financial services. He has founded startup ventures and grown established businesses by expanding product portfolio and market share. He has executed acquisition strategies to add product, capacity, and new geographic opportunities. And, he has also led the turnaround of businesses facing financial challenges. He served as interim Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Professional Business Bank where he stabilized the banking platform and guided the bank through a FDIC regulatory exam.

 

 Bill is currently the CEO and President of the Nixon Presidential Library and Museum.

 

 

 Byron Yang, Executive Vice President

Byron Yang has 15 years experience in providing investment banking services to global clients. He has closed many transactions including private placements and merger/acquisitions in diverse industries, many of which were in the PRC.  Prior to his more recent financial experiences, Mr. Yang held senior media positions at the official People’s Daily in China, becoming Editor-in-Chief of the  International Department, head of Global Times, an affiliate of People’s Daily, and thereafter head of People’s Daily’s branch in Los Angeles. Also Mr. Yang has established several successful media companies, such as US New Immigrant Times and America Times and a portal website about US: www.usnook.com..

Byron is a prolific writer and was awarded with many honors for his excellence in writing and editing and was invited to Chinese Writers Association at the age of 27. 

 

Amy Cheer, Senior Vice President

Ms. Cheer has more than 25 years experience in investment banking. She worked for Pacific Securities as Vice President , Managing Director and Executive Vice President. Now Ms. Cheer plays an active role to Grand Avenue Capital as an adviser, participating in the execution of Asian banking assignments.  During her career, Ms. Cheer has led or participated in many overseas financing projects for large companies in the PRC. Mrs. Cheer holds FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses. Also, Ms. Cheer is a US real estate broker in the United States and was the founder of a substantial real estate company in Southern California.

 

 Craig Jennings has over 30 years P/L responsibility with extensive experience in the lighting industry. He was the owner of the lighting company Hydrel which he grew from $1+ million to $35 million, ultimately selling to Acuity Brands Inc (NYSE: AYI). Subsequently, as an executive with Acuity, Craig focused on merger/acquisition opportunities to support Acuity’s growth with three major product launches including new designs, marketing and supplier agreements. Again as principal, Mr. Jennings initiated, managed and financed the start up of a new venture that designed, manufactured, distributed and supported a line of commercial-grade architectural lighting fixtures, with principal manufacturing performed in China.

 

Craig is currently founder and CEO of Hart Inc., a medical software company utilizing technology to bridge the gap between patients and providers. Health-conscious individuals can manage daily activities, track progress with a personal Health Score, and communicate directly with Hart-connected healthcare providers.

 

Mr. Jennings’ Industrial Engineering was augmented by a MS in Finance from University of Arizona. Craig is an active member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO), Chief Executives Organization , Newport Harbor Yacht Club and the Los Angeles Country Club.
